How is a Mentor Different than a Consultant?

Oftentimes an analysis is presented, a recommendation is made, and one of two things happens:

After the business need is defined, the analysis is complete, and the recommendation is made; a mentor will work with the appropriate member(s) of your team to execute the plan.
